Things No One Tells You About Your Wedding Day

You’ve selected your dress, finalized the programs, planned out the decor, and even settled on the wedding cake flavor. You probably think that you have everything figured out and that the wedding day will go exactly as planned.

No matter how many times you’ve been part of the bridal party, or how many weddings you have attended before, there are some details you just can’t anticipate on your wedding day.

If you have a chat with anyone who has ever been through it, they will tell you that there are details that will escape you until the D-day. Though you may have all the logistics figured out, there are tons of unforeseen special moments that define the day.

Your Wedding Day Will Not Go As Planned

No matter how good you are at planning, something will always go wrong whether big or small. Though everything might seem to be going off your wedding planner checklist, you should soldier on by focusing on the big picture.

When you find yourself in such a circumstance, ask yourself the following questions:

  • Can this problem be easily solved?
  • Does it have a huge impact on my wedding?
  • Am I enjoying the event?
  • Are my guests still enjoying the event?

If you can give quick answers to these questions, then you don’t need to sweat it. Just enjoy your big day. Also, delegate most of the tasks to your wedding planning team to avoid dealing with the day’s dramas.

You will need an emergency kit

Your wedding day is no ordinary day; thus you can’t do many things that you ordinarily do. For instance, it will be very difficult for you to use the bathroom in your wedding gown. Your makeup may get ruined. Your dress may get stained among other unfortunate things.

Having an emergency kit hand that includes items such as pack a stain remover will help you fix most of these minor problems. This way, you will be able to look fresh and immaculate throughout the day.

The best moments will be unplanned.

Just as the unfortunate moments will be unplanned, so will be the best moments. The moments that you will remember years to come will be those precious spontaneous moments that caught you unawares.

It could be something hilarious one of the bridal party members blurted out. The lovely kiss from your spouse. The crazy poses during the photo shoot or even a sweet heartfelt sentiment from one of your friends during the after party.

Despite the unexpected ups and downs, the day will definitely turn out better than you had envisioned. The fact that you are celebrating a new chapter with the most important people in your life will generate overwhelming joy that will exceed your expectations.
