Take Flight on a Hot-Air Balloon

Kids love to fly, in fact everyone loves to fly; hot air ballooning grantees an unforgettable experience for your family. Nothing could be more exciting than soaring through the sky with beautiful site of vast landscape, forests and fields beneath you. It is a whole new experience for the entire family to view the world from a new vantage point while floating on the breeze.

It can as well be a great learning opportunity for the kids; bring along a compass and a topographical map of the region to identify the features and the landmarks below. The kids can also create an aerial scrapbook by taking various photos of interesting things they see from mid-air. For those afraid of heights, they can as well have their share of fun by following a balloon while on the ground to meet at its landing spot, or helping in deflation and inflation of the balloon which can be much fun.

Set Sail with a Picnic

Vacations can be a good way to bond with your kids, however, they can get really expensive, and not everyone can afford to go on vacation with the entire family. A more suitable alternative to a vacation is to go on a picnic on the park, or on beach, or along the banks of a nearby river.

Pack a lunch and set out on an adventure by canoeing with your kids on the river, building sand castles on the beach, searching for sea creatures in the tide pools, hunting for sea glass and shells on the beach among other things.

Play Paintball with your kids

Paintball can be an exciting activity to do with your kids both young and old. Fortunately, it is no longer an activity reserved for the older kids. In most of paintball arenas, kids as young as eight year old’s can now participate in these events together with their parents. Parents are encouraged to play with their kids so as to encourage them to play better, and also have as much fun as the kids do.

Cook Together

In door activities can be fun and create bonding opportunities as well. Encourage your kids to help in the cooking process. Though at times it may get messy, the kitchen is the heart of your home and thus spending time with your kids in the kitchen will create bonds that will last a lifetime. Moreover, cooking with kids has numerous other benefits such as, teaching healthy eating habits, and helps them know how to plan, take responsibility among other things.

Play on the Snow

Playing on the snow can be a very good way to bond with your kids because it is fun for both the kids and the grownups as well. You can take the kids to learn ice skating, sledding, or skiing during the winter, or you can as well teach them if you know how to. For the smaller kids, build a snow fort or a snowman with them.

The bottom line is, strong bonds are created through sharing similar good or rather positive experiences together with your family.
